Welcome to OUT Sports League SOCCER!

OUT Sports League provides fun, recreational, and social sports leagues to Central Florida's LGBTQ+ community. Our Soccer league is designed to be inclusive of people of skill levels and backgrounds. We use US Certified Soccer Referees to create a fun, fair and fabulous playing environment. This season games will be played on the Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center Softball Fields.

This season will be a REMIX season where all players are randomly assigned to teams. Due to the nature of the REMIX season, our league will be more social than usual and give everyone a great opportunity to meet new people. There will be a maximum of 6 teams with exactly 16 players each for a total league capacity of 96 players. Players who want to join the league or a team after the league hits capacity will be added to a waitlist. Everyone registers as an INDIVIDUAL and you will be able to join with one (1) buddy during registration. Please ensure that if you register with a buddy that you each name each other during registration, chains of friends will not be permitted. 

Please keep in mind this is a RECREATIONAL soccer league and there will be a mix of advanced, intermediate and even first time players on your team. 

Each week, following play we invite you to head over to District Dive and get a FREE DRINK after every game. This season OUT Sports League is sponsored by Pineapple Healthcare.

LEAGUE INFORMATION

7 Week Soccer Season 
Thursdays from April 18 - May 30 
Make up date: June 6
Games start at: 6:30pm, 7:30pm, and 8:30pm

- Teams are created by the league to ensure teams with an even mix of skill levels and genders.
- Teams play 1 practice week, 5 regular season weeks, and one post season week.
- Games are played 9v9 (8 on the pitch and 1 goalkeeper), players may sub on any stoppage.
- Games last 50 minutes (two 25-minute halves and a 5-minute half time). All games officiated.
- All players must wear shin guards and team color shirt in order to participate
- No offsides and no slide tackling. All fouls are indirect free kicks except for penalty kicks.

Everyone registers as an INDIVIDUAL
If you want to play with a FRIEND please name each other during registration.

League Fee Covers - T-Shirt, Fields, Insurance, Equipment, Awards,  Weekly Drink Tickets and Certified U.S. Soccer Referees.

COMMON QUESTIONS

I don't have a team, can I still play?
Yes, register as an Individual and we will place you with a team.

I will miss a few weeks, can I still play?
Yes, all teams have extra players on them just in case you're absent on a given week. Teams can also use substitute players

How do I make sure my friend and I play on the same team?
During registration there is a field where you can list the friend you want to play with and the league will place you together

I don't know how to play or don't think I'll be very good, should I play?
Yes, we’ll go over the basics, and your team will help you learn! This is a fun, recreational league so you don't need to be a superstar!

I'm not LGBTQ+, can I still play?
Yes, we are accepting to all people as long as you consider yourself an ally to our community.
