Join us at the Pride Cup, a national LGBTQ+ sports competition held each June in Orlando to celebrate Pride Month with One Magical Weekend, RIPTIDE at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Gay Disney. You are in for an epic weekend of Sand Volleyball, pool parties and pride events in Orlando and Disney World with thousands of LGBTQ+ tourists from around the world. 


TOURNAMENT FORMAT 

4v4 Sand Volleyball seeded bracket tournament 
Round Robin games will be to 25 points, max of 27.
We use OUT Sports League rules which include rally scoring and players rotating positions on the court. 

All teams play round robin and an elimination tournament on Saturday, June 3rd.

The tournament includes a Prize Pot based on the number of teams registered.

<8 Teams: 1st $300
12 Teams: 1st $300, 2nd $150
16 Teams: 1st $400, 2nd $150, B Div 1st $125


REGISTRATION OPTIONS
 

TEAMS: Minimum of 5 players on a team. No roster maximum but teams must have 4 players on the court at a time. Players register individually as TEAM PLAYERS once the captain creates a team. Teams that do not have a minimum of 4 players by May 15th may be supplemented with Individual Free Agents. 

INDIVIDUALS: Want to play in the tournament but don't have a team? No problem! Sign up as an Individual and we will place you with a New or Incomplete Team for you to meet new people! Individuals may name other players they'd like to register with during registration.

PRIDE CUP PARTIES & PRIDE EVENTS
 

FRIDAY - RIPTIDE Party (8pm-2am) Join nearly 10,000 gays and party at Disney's amazing Typhoon Lagoon Water Park with 16 major slides, a lazy river, and beach front dance party featuring GSP. Dodgeballers get 20% off tickets. 

SATURDAY - After the games gain free entry to the Therapy Pool Parties after 6pm, a Player Happy Hour at Jock and Jills Sports Bar, and a Pride Cup Pool Party at 9pm. Or visit Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom for Red Shirt Pride Day. 

SUNDAY - After the games gain free entry to the Therapy Pool Parties after 6pm, a Player Happy Hour at Jock and Jills Sports Bar, and join us for the closing night WIG pride party at the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista.

All Volleyball games will be played at the Dr. Phillips Community Park located 2 miles from the host hotel. Games will have a fun atmosphere with piped-in music, free Cornhole play, and local food trucks for lunch. There are 2 sand courts, if there are more than 16 teams registered we may use an additional grass court. 


PLAYER REFUNDS & INCLUSION
 

There are no refunds after a player registers except for players registering as Individuals who cannot be placed with a team. Please keep this in mind before registering. 

Please note the Pride Cup Sand Volleyball Tournament is an LGBTQ+ RECREATIONAL TOURNAMENT. We welcome players of all skill, gender, and sexuality, but the primary focus of this tournament is to represent the LGBTQ+ community.
